A Playful Park 3
Related Policies of Park Specialization and Inclusive
Playground Promoting, and the Implementation Results
In addition to communion, relevant policies and implementation results for planning parks with
features and promoting “Play for all“ inclusive playgrounds in recent years also focus on creative
and stylish design for the park's transformation. In the hope that by the authority of the public
sectors, the strength of the design industry in Taiwan can be deeply rooted. The design of each
park will invite planning designers in Taiwan, listen to local residents’ voice and then develop
regional parks with local features accordingly. For example, the tree frogs in Xiangshan Park, the
caterpillars in Taipei Expo Park, and the Dongher Park, which provides an adventurous forest
playground in a rich ecology... had also shown the world Taiwan's talent in designing.
By the end of April 2019, the Office had completed a total of 28 “Play for all” playgrounds.
Under the premise of complying with safety regulations, Taipei City Parks are happy to open
their minds, welcome all kinds of imagination, and generate unlimited possibilities to make sure
children can explore and grow in games. By the transformation of parks, an urban green network
that breathes will be connected to make Taipei more and more beautiful, the citizens more and
more creative and our city a civilized one filled with creativity.
