Aofeng Sports Park in the Qingshui District in Taichung City
is located in the northern side of the mountain in Dadu Plateau,

which area is totally 60 hectares. Aofeng Sports Park completed

reconstruction in 2015 based on two directions—“Watershed
Management and Erosion Control” and “Construction of the
sports hill in Middle Taiwan”. It was designed to conserve most

green space, set up sports and entertainment facilities, and increase
permeable pavements and rainwater recycling system. With the
total expense of 0.45 billion NTD, it is expected to build up a
“Regional Recreation Sports Park” that integrates the functions of
ecology, recreation, and disaster-prevention.

Each area in the park can be linked from the south to the north
through Ao-hai Road. Among those areas, the Historical and
Cultural Facilities include the Contingency Tunnel and Qing-shui
Ghost Cave in the northern areas, and Qing-shui Shrine Heritage
and Niumatou Culture Park in the southern areas. The recreation
space consists of Shih-lai-tou Park, Sun Lawn, Bird Loving
Park, and etc. On the other hand, more dynamic areas involve
Exploration Playground, Coopetition Experience Playground,
Music Square, the Comprehensive Court, Freedom Parking Space,
and so on. The commanding Elevation Point in Aofeng Sports
Park includes Aofeng Jade Belt and Aofeng Viewing Platform for
the visitors to appreciate the scenery, and a variety of facilities and
spaces are provided to people in different age groups. To sum up,
Aofeng Sports Park is a good place suitable for all family members
to have a good time from morning to evening at the weekend.
