How Much “Green” Is There Around You?

Keelung River, Jingmei River, Xindian River and Dahan River, then flow into Taipei Basin
and merge into Tamsui River. Although the elevation of Taipei basin is below 20 meters, the

ecoregion of Taipei basin is coherent to the vertical distribution of the biophysical environment 0.68%

Park & Green Space
The green resources of Taipei City include three parts: the innately natural landscape, the man- 5.69%
managed green space, and the connecting green belt. The green resources include the parks, 3.5% 3.47%
green spaces, children's playgrounds and plazas that serve the recreational purpose for citizens.
It also includes Yangmingshan National Park, which cover an area of 48.7 square kilometers, 3.0%
accounting for 17.54% of the total area of Taipei city. Also, the scenic area and reserve area are

included, such as Yuanshan Scenic Area, Xianjiyan Scenic Area, Zhinan Scenic Area, and the
vast reserve area along the hillside of Xinyi, Shilin, Neihu, Nangang and Wenshan. In addition,

there are 28 riverside parks along Tamsui River, Keelung River and Xindian River. There are
also linear parks and green belts around the MRT and the road. Green resources are also
