Idris Elba Weds Model Sabrina Dhowre In Morocco
No one does birthdays quite like the Kardashians.
In keeping with her famous family’s tradition of celebrat- ing birthdays with elaborate parties and gifts, Kylie Jen- ner showered her boyfriend Travis Scott with love, ap- pearing to buy out a billboard in Los Angeles to celebrate his special day.
The billboard, first spotted
by fans this weekend and lo- cated in the West Hollywood, features a giant portrait of the couple’s 14-month-old daugh- ter Stormi, alongside a sweet photo of Jenner, 21, and their baby girl.
“Happy birthday daddy,” the billboard read. “Love, Mommy & Stormi xo.”
Scott will celebrate his 28th birthday on April 30.

Tyga has put another o n e of his legal battles to bed. After dropping a $10 million lawsuitagainst Birdman and Cash Money Records, the West Coast rapper has reportedly settled a dispute with a concert promoter over his failure to perform in the United Arab Emirates.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Tyga and concert promoter Heavy Rotation reached a settle-

ment after the latter sued him
for $1.4 million last year. Terms of the settlement haven’t been revealed, but the case will be dismissed.
Heavy Rotation claimed they paid Tyga $141,000 for three shows, but he pulled out after getting offered more money by a club in Dubai. The promoter said it never received the advance back and accused him of using the money to fund his travels in the Middle East.

Pharrell Williams has reportedly teamed up with Verizon to launch a new music education program at Verizon Innovative Learning schools nationwide, Billboard reports. The new initiative was an- nounced on Friday (April 26).
The program, which was launched under the Verizon Foundation, will reportedly provide free technology, Inter- net access, and tech-focused curriculums to under-re- sourced middle schools around the country.
The organization will also offer access to the Verizon In- novative Learning Lab that will include cutting-edge tech- nology such as virtual reality and robotics. The lab will be located at a middle school in Pharrell's hometown, Vir- ginia Beach.
"I want all children to have access to that kind of creative growth, access and support. All kids, not just my own," the producer told Billboard in a new interview. "There's a lot of variables in a situation as to

why something falls apart, but there's only one scenario where it holds together, and that's when all the variables are there. The environment, the family, the school, the sys- tem -- there's so many things. We just want to do what we can to balance the odds so that as many kids as we can afford, or help and assist in whatever ways, get this access and sup- port."
We’re entering graduation season, and that means a pa- rade of the country’s most ad- mired people will give commencement speeches and receive honorary degrees— among them, actress Angela Bassett and billionaire Robert Smith are slated to earn honorary degrees from Morehouse College.
Bassett might be best known for her 1993 Oscar- nominated role as icon Tina Turner in What’s Love Got To Do With It, but the New York City-born actress is no academic lightweight. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Yale University, where she met hus- band and fellow thespian Courtney Vance, according to the IMDB website.
Bassett’s career includes roles portraying strong women, including Rosa Parks, the mother of the Civil

Rights Movement, and Dr. Betty Shabazz, the late widow of Malcolm X. She was motivated to become an actress while in high school after seeing James Earl Jones perform in Of Mice and Men at the Kennedy Center during a class trip to Washing- ton, D. C.

Most of the donation will be used to fund a program for underserved stu- dents who cannot afford to at- tend Morehouse. About $500,000 of the donation will pay for a new park and out- door study area.
