No Valentine For American Idol Sweetheart Jordin Sparks?
Hosting His Own Movie
Last year, former American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks posted some photos on her IG that confirmed she and rapper Sage The Gemini were an item...yep, “were,” and it looks like it was an ugly split.
After dating for 10 months, the couple has gone their sep- arate ways, even deleting pho- tos of each other from their Instagram accounts.
Jordin went to the Super Bowl 50 last weekend and joined Rashad Jennings from the New York Giants, Julius Thomas of the Jack- sonville Jaguars and other NFL stars and celebrities to host an end zone dance-off as part of Verizon’s #Minute50 campaign. Some people think Sage’s nasty tweet just two days after, suggested he was
Awards Ceremony
Amid all the controversy over lack of diversity at the Os- cars, where no Black actors were nominated, Russell Simmons is launching his own awards ceremony days before the Hollywood extrava- ganza.

Best Picture nominees in- clude “Beasts of No Nation,” Spike Lee’s “Chi-Raq,” Will Smith’s film “Concussion,” “Creed,” “Dope” and “Straight Outta Compton.”

Said Simmons: “I don’t ex- pect a 90-year-old academy member to see ‘Straight Outta

Lee and Smith said they’ll boycott the Oscars.

The Game Plans To Fight $10M Lawsuit Filed By Reality Show Contestant
The Game was to pick a woman to date from his reality show, She’s Got Game. Pricilla was the troublemaker on camera, and obviously off camera, too.
‘Underground’ Series Soundtrack
JOHN LEGEND
John Legend is behind the scenes in a big way as music cu- rator and executive producer of “Underground,” an upcoming TV thriller/drama about a group of slaves who plot to gain freedom by any means neces- sary.
Legend recently explained his inspiration behind the music of the film, which will also be curated by composer and a multi-Emmy Award win- ner Laura Karpman, and soulful producer Raphael Saadiq.
Legend explains his goal is to create “bold and creative music,” one which is the show’s theme song “Heaven’s Door” which was produced by Legend and performed by Alice Smith (who sang Legend’s Oscar- winning song “Glory” at the NAACP Image Awards). The Weeknd and Kanye West also contribute music to the series.
“Underground” premieres on Wednesday, March 9 (10 p.m. ET/PT) on WGN.
Toni Braxton and Baby- face released a collaborative studio album titled “Love, Marriage & Divorce” back in 2014. The album spawned the #1 hit, “Hurt You,” and earned the duo a Grammy Award in 2015. The two artists subse- quently toured together, leav- ing fans hoping they may team
again on a duets album. Well, as it turns out, they will!
During her visit last week to the Sway in the Morning, Braxton gave a surprise an- swer to the burning question as to whether she and Baby- face will collaborate again: “Yes, we’re going to do Love, Marriage & Divorce, Part 2.”
According to TheJasmine- BRAND.com exclusively re- ports, The Game has headed to court in the 10 million dollar lawsuit accusing him of sexu- ally assaulting a contestant on his reality show, stating he is ready to fight the case in court after months of blowing off the case.
Priscilla Rainey – was a contestant on the VH1 dating reality show, “She’s Got Game” – filed suit back in August 2015.
At the time, The Game had yet to respond to the alle- gations in the complaint.
Rainey scored a victory in the case when the federal court
judge granted her motion for a default, which means she can proceed with attempting to ob- tain a default judgement and hopefully in the amount of 10 million she is suing for in the lawsuit. The judge did not order The Game to pay up on any amount despite numerous reports stating otherwise.
However, the rapper clearly isn’t about to be hit with a 10 million dollar judgement and had his lawyer head to Florida court to file documents in the case. The filing is for The Game’s lawyer to represent him in the legal battle, but it’s clear the rapper is ready to battle Rainey in court.
Beyonce And Mariah Agree To Do Duet
Beyonce and Mariah Carey at a charity event on last Thursday.
Beyonce and Mariah Carey could be joining forces on a new track soon ... that is, if they go forward with plans made last Thursday.
The two superstars were at a benefit in L.A. for the HeartView Global Foundation, and had tables beside each other. When Beyonce and
Mariah got a chance to talk, the possibility of a duet was brought up and the two agreed, it needs to happen.
The stars share the same business manager, Jon Schwartz, who also runs the foundation, so it'd be easy to get them together in the stu- dio.
