Meek Mill’s Sentence Could Be Overturned Due To Police Corruption
The police officer whose testi- mony helped jail Meek Mill on crack cocaine and gun charges in 2008 is on a secret District Attorney’s list of cops with an alleged history of lying, racial bias or brutality, which was compiled in a move to block the suspect officers from testifying in court.
On Tuesday (Feb. 13), The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that last year, the District Attor- ney's Office of Philly secretly compiled the list of cops.
While the list has not been made public, sources for the publication say it includes Reginald V. Graham, the of- ficer who arrested Meek in 2007. Although Graham's rea- son for being on the list is un- known, an ex narcotics officer named Jeffery Walker claimed he used to steal with him.
Now, with new information at their disposal, Meek's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said they will pursue all legal reme- dies. "Across the justice system, there are many instances of

people that are incarcerated being subsequently let out when police corruption is uncov- ered," he told Complex.
"This would certainly be one of those instances. I mean, there were 800 cases that were dis- missed or overturned upon dis- covery of this group of officers who had been committing crimes, lying about circum- stances of arrests, and falsifying documents," Tacopina contin- ued. "One of the officers is the same one who not only arrested Meek, but made allegations that Meek has always denied. This is the only one that testi- fied against Meek.”
