Athlete performs shuffle step in four directions
Right foot forward
Left foot forward
Athlete performs a block shuffle step to the right and left
Shuffle step laterally/forward/backward to receive a toss
Shuffle step to cones on the court, forward/back/right/left
Shuffle step to a forearm pass/overhead pass
Checklist
Head stay level during movement
Weight is balanced, the center of gravity at
body midline
Keep feet shoulder-width apart as athlete
moves
Keep distance moving from 3-6 feet,
generally, the athlete will not move a greater
distance than this when playing; also with
longer distance, the form is compromised.
Athlete should be proficient with right foot
lead or the left foot lead
