Sample Activity
Split step to stop- Execute a split-step to stop moving forward or backward
Shuffle forward, come to split step stop with weight on balls of the feet, shoulders slightly forward,
good balance
With left foot lead
With right foot lead
Shuffle laterally, stop, reverse
Shuffle step behind, keep left or right foot forward
Checklist
Be able to shuffle step in all directions while
maintaining balance, keep head level, weight
on the balls of the feet
Moving any direction, be able to stop with
proper balance on balls of the feet
Knees bent, body in medium posture,
shoulders slightly forward
Be able to stop efficiently using the split step
with weight on the toes and in good balance
