Steps in the Grievance Procedure
Step 1 - Assistant Manager
1.1. In step 1, the employee must discuss his grievance with the Assistant Manager.
1.2. The Assistant Manager will endeavour to solve the problem within two (2) working days and
inform the employee.
1.3. Should the employee not be satisfied with the outcome, he may proceed to Step 2.
1.4. Should the grievance concern the Assistant Manager, the employee may proceed
immediately to Step 2.
Step 2 - Manager
2.1. The employee must complete a grievance form with all the relevant details. He may be
assisted by his employee representative to do this. The form is handed to the Manager.
2.2. The Manager will endeavour to solve the problem within two (2) working days and inform
the employee.
2.3. Should the employee not be satisfied with the outcome, he may proceed to Step 3.
Step 3 – Senior Manager|Director
3.1. The matter is referred to the Senior Manager| Director by handing him the grievance form,
together with any other further relevant written information.
3.2. The Senior Manager| Director shall hold an enquiry into the grievance, attended by the
employee, his representative (if required) and any other persons who, in the opinion of the
Senior Manager| Director, should attend.
3.3. The Senior Manager| Director must give a decision as soon as possible; which decision shall
be final.
