2.5 General Constraints, Assumptions, Dependencies, Guidelines
Constraints
o Designed for use in desktop environments only
Assumptions
o Software will be hosted by Ghost Digital & Data in a secure cloud
environment and data will be secured according to Ghost Digital &
Data’s security policies.
o The client will, if required, engage Ghost Digital & Data services to
perform a discovery session, in order to identify the ‘backfill’ of matters
which may need to be reported. Each matter will then be imported into
the software, resulting in a DAC6 file for each matter.
Dependencies
o Users must have a connection to the internet in order to use the software
o Supported browsers must be used to access the application, and the
browser must be at the current release level.
Guidelines
o None.
2.6 Design and Implementation Constraints
Design
o The software will developed using the .NET environment.
o Files will be stored as data in an encrypted SQL Database.
o Backfill matters will be imported via a pre-defined Excel spreadsheet
Implementation
o The software will be deployed on a Windows server operating system in
Ghost Digital & Data’s secure cloud environment.
o The cloud environment will include full disaster recovery.
o The software will be installed and maintained by Ghost Digital & Data.
o Ghost Digital & Data will configure the software, including all pre-
requisites such as Hallmarks, Timeline Templates and a default
Assessment.
o The user will be required to perform minimal software configuration, but
will be expected to perform basic requirements such as creating user
profiles and assigning permissions.
