Insurance Hospital, which has 15 renal dialysis centers. Besides

Al-Azhar university hospital in addition to 10 public and central

hospitals and 14 private ones.

Culture:

The governorate includes 8 cultural palaces and houses and 77

public libraries and 9 cinemas.

Youth and Sport

The governorate houses 101 youth centers, which contains 74

libraries, 25 clubs and Damietta stadium.

Archaeological and Tourist Sites

Damietta has some archaeological monuments dating back to the
Greco-Roman eras such as the hills of Tal Shata – El-Brachia -

Qalaa – El-Ezam – El-masaara. There are bsome ancient mosques

and Shrines that back date to the Islamic conquest of Egypt such

as: [El-Meny Mosque, Shata Mosque and Shrine - Gamal El-din

Sheha Mosque - Aboul Maaty Mosque, Matbouli mosque]. It also
