When my family moved to the U.S., my
dad started his own garage door
manufacturing business, so I started
working at his company at the age of 15.
At first, I helped with writing checks and
creating mail-in flyers advertising our
business and then got more
responsibilities that allowed me to learn
all the intricacies of managing a
business – invoicing, bookkeeping,
paying vendors and employees,
taxes, cash flow, website design. It was
an amazing experience that paved the
way to uncover my talents and passion in
managing the finances for a business.
