Sustainable Business Development Guidelines of THP
Under the vision “Delivering Sustainable Growth through Postal Network” THP is committed to operate business practices toward sustainability by driving through strong corporate governance alongside responsibility for society, communities, and the environment. This approach aims to deliver value by responding to stakeholder needs and minimizing impacts throughout the business value chain. Sustainability issues are balanced with both risks and opportunities in line with the principles of ESG + E, including : Environment, Social, Governance and Economy.
1. Environment Dimension
THP will develop an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly postal system by collaborating with stakeholders throughout the value chain. This includes managing resource use, coping with climate change, and efficiently handling pollution and waste. The goal is to increase the use of alternative energy in sustainable business operations to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065, in line with national goals.
In accordance with Thailand’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement, THP has set a medium-term goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 30% by 2030. Starting from 2022, the company plans to reduce emissions by at least 2% per year, with an annual increase of 3-5% until 2030.
