Key projects of participation in community and social development
The “Post Linking Happiness” project
The “Post Linking Happiness” project aims to leverage THP’s capabilities to support communities, society, and
the environment, in order to create sustainability for both the organization and Thai society. The project seeks to elevate THP’s management to become an organization focused on fostering sustainability in the communities involved with its operations, thereby promoting long-term engagement and sustainability within those communities. This initiative aligns with the organization’s direction under the vision : “Delivering Sustainable Growth through Postal Network.” It strives to drive positive change in communities, society, and the environment, with a clear role in connecting knowledge, collaboration, network potential, and resources to support the target audience (end users) to maximize their benefits, in accordance with THP’s sustainability plan and principles.
1. Linking Happiness ... to Society
This initiative connects communities in a stable and secure manner, using postal transportation capabilities to ensure safety and happiness in both normal and crisis situations by supporting disaster relief logistics. The total value of transportation services amounts to 9,818,852 baht, with details as follows :
• Organizing a Campaign “Thailand Post Links Kindness, Delivers to Flood Victims”. This campaign involved accepting donated articles from people across the country and sending to flood-affected areas from 17 September to 10 October 2024. A total of 75,755 parcels were delivered, with a shipping value of 9,697,780 baht.
• Transport of donated articles for the Secretariat of the House of Representatives : Delivery to Ban Phatthana School, Office of the Basic Education Commission : OBEC, Mae Hong Son province, with a shipping value of 12,824 baht.
• Transport of donated aritcles for Khao San Road Business Association : Delivery to Cherntawan International Meditation Center, Chiang Rai province, with a shipping value of 20,101 baht.
• Transport of relief bags to help flood victims for Si Phraya Printing Co., Ltd. (Daily News) : Delivery to Songkhla, Pattani, and Yala provinces, with a shipping value of 54,985 baht.
• Transport of educational and sports equipment for MCOT Public Company Limited : Delivery to Ban Laongiew School, Roi Et province, with a shipping value of 10,197 baht.
• Transport of consumer goods, educational and sports equipment, and general articles for the People’s Station program of Thai PBS : Delivery to Mae Sai District, Chiang Rai province, with a shipping value of 22,965 baht.
