กรมพิัฒนาธุุรกิจการค์้าเป็นห้น่วยงานทีมีภารกิจ ห้ลักสืําาค์ัญในด้้านการจด้ทะเบียนธุุรกิจ ต่ังแต่่เริมต่้น จัด้ต่ังธุุรกิจ การกําากับการประกอบธุุรกิจ จนกระทังการเลิก ประกอบธุุรกิจ ซึงรวมถึงภารกิจทีเกียวข้องกับการลงทุนของ ต่่างชีาต่ิในประเทศไทยในด้้านการอนุญาต่การประกอบธุุรกิจ ของค์นต่่างด้้าวในประเทศไทย ซึงกรมพิัฒนาธุุรกิจการค์้า เป็นห้น่วยงานกําากับด้้แลพิระราชีบัญญัต่ิการประกอบธุุรกิจ ของค์นต่่างด้้าว พิ.ศ. 2542 และปฏิบัต่ิห้น้าทีในฐานะ เลขานุการค์ณะกรรมการการประกอบธุุรกิจของค์นต่่างด้้าว โด้ยค์ณะกรรมการการประกอบธุุรกิจของค์นต่่างด้้าว มีบทบาทสืําาค์ัญในการสืร้างค์วามสืมดุ้ลระห้ว่างการสื่งเสืริม การลงทุนของค์นต่่างด้้าวกับการค์ุ้มค์รองการประกอบ ธุุรกิจของผ้้ประกอบการไทย ต่ลอด้จนสื่งเสืริมและพิัฒนา แนวปฏิบัต่ิของพิระราชีบัญญัต่ิการประกอบธุุรกิจของ ค์นต่่างด้้าว พิ.ศ. 2542 รวมทังการสืร้างค์วามชีัด้เจน โปร่งใสื ของห้ลักเกณฑ์์การพิิจารณาค์ําาขอรับใบอนุญาต่การประกอบ ธุุรกิจของค์นต่่างด้้าว โด้ยในปี 2567 กรมมีการด้ําาเนินการ ในด้้านต่่างๆ ทีเกียวข้องกับการประกอบธุุรกิจของค์นต่่างด้้าว เพิือให้้สือด้ค์ล้องกับสืภาพิการประกอบธุุรกิจของค์นต่่างด้้าว ในปัจจุบันทีเปลียนแปลงไป ด้ังนี

กรมพิัฒนาธุุรกิจการค์้าได้้เริมพิัฒนาระบบการขอ ใบอนุญาต่/ห้นังสืือรับรองการประกอบธุุรกิจของค์นต่่างด้้าว (e-Foreign Business) มาต่ังแต่่ปี 2566 และได้้เปิด้ให้้ บริการอย่างเต่็มร้ปแบบเมือเด้ือนสืิงห้าค์ม 2567 โด้ยระบบ e-Foreign Business จะชี่วยอําานวยค์วามสืะด้วกให้้ผ้้ประกอบ การห้รือนักลงทุนชีาวต่่างชีาต่ิ ในการยืนค์ําาขอผ่านชี่องทาง อิเล็กทรอนิกสื์ได้้อย่างเต่็มร้ปแบบ ค์รอบค์ลุมทุกกระบวนงาน ทีเกียวข้องกับการยืนขออนุญาต่ (end-to-end) ต่ังแต่่ขันต่อน การยืนค์ําาขอรับใบอนุญาต่/ห้นังสืือรับรองการประกอบธุุรกิจ

The Department of Business Development is an agency whose main mission is to register businesses from the beginning of the business establishment, supervision of business operations until the cessation of business operations. This includes missions related to foreign investment in Thailand in permitting foreign business operations in Thailand. The Department of Business Development is the agency that oversees the Foreign Business Act, B.E. 2542 and serves as the secretariat of the Foreign Business Commission. The Commission plays an important role in creating a balance between promoting foreign investment and protecting business operations of Thai entrepreneurs as well as promoting and developing the guidelines for the Foreign Business Act, B.E. 2542 including creating clarity transparency of the criteria for considering applications for foreign business licenses. In 2024, the Department has operations in various areas related to foreign business operations to be consistent with the current changing business conditions as follows:

In 2023, the Department of Business Development has started developing a system for requesting licenses/ certificates for operating foreign businesses (e-Foreign Business). The system has been launched on 1 August 2024, this system will help and facilitate for foreign entrepreneurs or investors in submitting the application fully through electronic channels covers all procedures for permission (end-to- end). From the process of submitting an application for a business license/certificate, electronic payment (e-Payment),
