The Lewis structure of a molecule is a way of describing how atoms bond to

form a molecule by using markers such as dots or x-marks to represent the electrons
involved in forming the molecule. The electrons involved are usually only valence

electrons (electrons that are in the outermost shell).

A covalent bond is a type of chemical bond that has the characteristic of a shared

pair of electrons between the bonding atoms. In short, the attraction and repulsion

stability that forms between atoms when sharing electrons is known as a covalent bond.
In this module you can learn about covalent compounds, both the classification of

covalent compounds, the process of forming covalent compounds, and the
                      characteristics of covalent compounds.
