That they could
You show that there’s hope at the end of the road
For someone to grow even when they are old
To love
Not hate
Be brave
Be bold
With understanding
It’s a shame before now you never saw it our way
An entire life then
Just wasted away
In hatred
Anger
Prejudice and lies
The lies you told yourself
Now you blossom in love and care
Now a new person is already there
In the shell that used to be you
A life
Now fulfilled
