Once beautiful and

colorful

I grew toward the sun
My reef was home to
many

And we acted as one

An example for the
world

Of how to work together

We helped provide
clean air for you

We helped to make life
better

But those above had a

different view

We were nice to visit

They took and took and
hardly gave
That’s not a great life, is

it?

At this point we struggle
to survive

We do our very best

But if we die their
shorelines

Will be put to the test.
