A Recount text usually
contains stories in the form of
actions, activities, or experiences
the author has gone through. So,
it can be said that a recount text
is a text that retells an event or
activity that occurred in the past
or has been experienced by

happened before the story was written. For example, events that
happened a day ago, a week ago, a month ago, or even a year ago. These
experiences can be experiences on holidays, birthdays, meeting
someone, doing activities, etc. The experience must be told
sequentially according to the text structure of the recount text
because the order of the events is very important.
The social function of recount text is to retell events or
incidents or experiences that occurred in the past to inform or
entertain the reader. Another aim is to reconstruct past experiences
by retelling events in the order in which they occurred.
