A. Title Description
What do you know about recount text? Recount text is a text
that retells events or events in the past. Have you ever shared your
experiences with other people or shared your experiences in written
form? That is one example of the type of recount text. As for other
examples of recount text, such as recount text which tells the
experiences or events experienced by other people and recount text
which tells the true history that happened in the past.
The social function of recount text is to retell past events with
the aim of informing or entertaining the reader. Did you know that in
telling events in the past there is a sequence? The sequence of telling
begins with the introduction of the character, place, and when the
event occurred, then continues with the content or what event
happened, and finally the conclusion, impression of the message, or
your feelings towards the event. Is it necessary to write recount text
according to the structure of the recount text? Of course, it is
necessary, because it allows the reader or listener to understand the
story properly and in a structured way.
B. Prerequisite
In the previous lesson students must have learned about the
simple past tense. In order to study and understand this module
regarding recount text, students are expected to have understood
material regarding the simple past tense in both affirmative, negative
