Armed Forces Protections

Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Act of 1974, as amended

Contractors are required to take affirmative action to employ and

advance disabled veterans and qualified veterans of the Vietnam era

Applies to employers with government contracts of twenty-five thousand
or more

Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of

1994

Employees have a right to be reemployed in their civilian job if they leave
their employer to be in the uniformed services, assuming certain

requirements have been met
