        # RESPONSES DATE
1 We could offer dedicated route service in conjunction with employers to get people to/from work. 8/20/2019 1:55 PM
This would alleviate the transportation barrier that often prevents employment or contributes to
                   loss of jobs.
2 Transportation Vouchers Gas Vouchers 8/20/2019 10:27 AM
3 There are no comprehensive transportation systems in the rural areas that we serve. We would 8/16/2019 9:18 AM
invest in the expansion of existing community transportation systems to reach those areas.

4 The lack of transportation in Alamance County is incredible; the buses do not run at night and this 8/15/2019 11:53 AM
effects individuals/families that are trying to secure employment on second and third shift as well
as those that are in search of groceries and other required errands. The buses also have very
limited routes which leads to lack of access for many individuals. Having increased funds would
allow us to provide particpants the ability to obtain and maintain employment by using gas cards
for those that have transportation, but is unaffordable at the beggining of a job as well as provide
transportation to and from work by our agency van.
5 Assist with the cost of car repairs - many families own vehicles but they need expensive repairs. 8/15/2019 6:05 AM
Help with the cost of using the local transportation authorities.
6 I would run our public transit vehicles seven days a week, twelve hours a day. I would start a 8/15/2019 3:52 AM
program focused on quality, timely and compassionate transport for those who are dealing with
sickness and serious medical issues instead of putting them on a public transit vehicle. I would
start my mobile Mountain Projects that would go into communities to help residents access our
services. i would also have emergency supplies, food, etc. i would set a schedule to be in local
                   communities each week.
7 Work with Partners to impact our regional transportation needs, i.e. how to get individuals to 8/14/2019 11:58 AM
employment opportunities that are not on the grid. Help to establish more entrepreneurial
opportunities to provide alternate transportation methods, i.e. vans, small buses to transport job
                   seekers.
8 Provide door to door van services in rural areas of Henderson, Polk and Transylvania Counties. 8/14/2019 6:46 AM
Increase hours and days of service for the public transit system in Henderson County.
