DISTRICT 20-K1 FOUNDATION:
CHAMPION FOR CHANGE
In response to an application request presented by the Little Neck / Douglaston Lions Club, The Foundation
presented a Humanitarian Grant in the amount of $1,500.00 to a family in need of financial support. The award
was presented on Sunday September 18, 2021. (see photo below)
The trustees voted unanimously to approve this matching grant that will be used to install a stair lift in the home
of an elderly 80 year old couple. The mechanism will facilitate upstairs access to their sleeping quarters.
The matching funds were raised through a “teaming” between the Little Neck - Douglaston Lions Club and The
