Connect Counseling Service

What is Connect Counseling?
This is a free counseling service that will provide individual counseling in a safe, judgement free and
comfortable environment. Our team will meet with individuals and conduct the initial assessment along
with a full-service session, either face to face or virtual.
Who is this Service for?

Connect Counseling will serve all Lions and Leos of District 20 K1. For Leos to receive service, parent /
caregiver consent must be documented.

What is the Service Plan?
The goal of Connect Counseling is to help Lions and Leos to cope with issues such as depression and
anxiety, stress, and all other predicaments related to mental health. We will suggest techniques and
coping skills to control symptoms and manage emotions. We will utilize the face to-face platform and
informational emails to connect with every club and explain our service.

Our team is comprised of a group of experienced, qualified and certified mental health professionals. We
represent different backgrounds and areas of expertise, but share a common interest in counseling. We
will be using evidence-based techniques including, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Based CBT,
Psychodynamic, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

If a member of any club is experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, anger,
communication, codependency, or any other related mental health concerns, feel free to call a member
of our team directly and schedule an appointment. We will engage with you either face to face, or
virtually conduct an assessment and provide a full-service counseling session. We will further provide
access to community resources for continued treatment. We will follow up with phone calls to ensure
that persons remain connected and keep their appointments.
