DISTRICT 20-K1 LEO CHAIRPERSON

The Leos of District 20-K1 have made a wonderful start to this Lionistic Year by “Renewing their
ROAR of Service.” During the month of August 2021, the Leos collected school supplies and personal
hygiene products for children in the NYC Shelter System and roller skated to raise funds for NYC
Veterans. If you were not present at these service projects, you lost out on an opportunity for a
great time. So please make sure you don't miss out on future District Leo events.

The next event for the Leos of District 20-K1 is Leo Officer Training to be held on Saturday
September 25, 2021 from 9AM - 1PM at Jehu Table located at 2424 Linden Blvd Brooklyn. This will
be an outdoor training. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. This is a chance for all District
Leos to learn about the Club Officer positions and responsibilities that exist within a Leo Club.

As a service project, the District Leos are requested to bring handmade or purchased Get Well
cards that will be distributed to pediatric cancer patients in Brooklyn and Queens hospitals. During
this event there will be an Installation ceremony for the District Leo Cabinet Officers and any new
Leos that have joined a club within the last year. The Leo Officer Training will also provide
information about upcoming District 20-K1 Leo events for 2021 to 2022. I hope to see you there.
