I love coming to VCB so I can relax and be in nature. Being
able to go outside to be one with nature, enjoy morning walks
during weekend sessions and just simply travel about the
campus is revitalizing.” she explains.
Getting way from the city and appreciating the peace and
quietness, truly supports Valerie’s wellbeing. She always
emphasizes her feeling of “safety” around the camp without Valarie, can be seen standing, talking with
that “closed in feel”. She loves to socialize with her peers and her peers during a VCB weekend program
during the pandemic.
with the staff. Her favorite activity is the session for arts and
crafts which she never misses. VCB’s art classes are conducted during the weekend or summer
sessions. She delights in the calmness of being able to create and share her creativity with her
peers. She recalls that her favorite arts and craft creation is a basket! Valerie likes to end her
evening here at VCB with a friendly game of bingo after her dinner meal.
“I would recommend VCB to anyone who needs outside services!” Valerie declares. “it’s the staff
that truly keeps me coming back. They make sure that we are happy and comfortable. They treat us
with kindness and the accommodations are clean and pretty. VCB genuinely helped to shape and
mold my experiences. That treatment is what brings and keeps our VCB family together.
Valerie Buckner is a special client who truly enjoys her time here at VCB. Her commitment to VCB
is a result of the effort and energy that staff pour into every person, to help ensure that their needs
