On October 16 , Brooklyn Transition Lions Club
hosted their annual fund-raising outdoor brunch at
St. Therese of Liseux Roman Catholic Church, in
Brooklyn. Proceeds support, in part, Vision
Awareness, one of LCI’s Global Causes. DG Anthony Cochran flanked by BTLC Pres. Maxine Norton and 1 Vice

Lion Victor Jordan, (Committee Chair) was assisted
by Lion President Maxine Norton, Lion Claudette
Benn, (1 Vice President), Lion Shirley Paul (2 nd

Vice President) and other members. They prepared
a variety of tasty dishes, including fried bakes, salt DG Cochran
fish, sausages, hard-boiled eggs, baked chicken, jerk prepares to
chicken, jerk pork and fried fish. These delectable administer oath to
items were served with home-made mac and cheese, new BTLC member.

and green salad. Every patron was also served a
specialty homemade drink of mauby or fruit punch.
Growth Through Service, Teaming Together!
District Governor Anthony B. Cochran, attended the
brunch, as did many other Lions from District 20-
K1 with their family and friends. DG Anthony
conducted an Induction Ceremony ,making the
already festive occasion a truly memorable one for
the inductee as well as the entire club. In keeping
with Covid-19 protocols, the meals were packaged
so that the steady stream of patrons could “grab-and-
