IP BRIAN SHEEHAN’S INAUGURAL SPEECH(abridged)

“I am humbled to serve as your 105th. International President and I am so grateful to all those who guided and mentored me, even as
a 4th generation Lion family, growing up surrounded by the spirit of Lionism. To all my DGEs (District Governors Elect), “You are
awesome. Make this a year that you will never forget! You are the original Team Sheehan!”
Nothing can be compared with the excitement in the room, full of Lions and Leos from around the world, bringing together all the
unique skills and talents to serve in diverse communities around the globe.

“Together We Can!” IP Sheehan encouraged the crowd with his catchphrase rallying call. “Bring new people to join your team on a service
project and expose them to the elation of making a difference in a stranger’s life as a Lion”

He championed Lions to support Leos in their passion for service and welcome their innovative “out of the box” ideas. This is a
valuable organizational strategy to promote growth in response to the changing needs and challenges of the next century. Using the
tools of technology that supported Lionism during the pandemic, Leos can help us to bring impactful service to life in our community.

Although IP Sheehan was energized by the impressive success of Campaign 100, he reminded the audience that LCIF must continue to
reach across borders and be recognized as the leader of humanitarian causes. We must continue to assist with resources to rebuild after
disasters, conserve the environment, service the needs of the hungry, visually impaired and victims of cancer and diabetes.

With all the animation and urgency he could rally, IP Sheehan galvanized the Leos and Lions to:
