Run for your Hero

ORANJESTAD – In case you wish to start your Sunday early
and fit, the Aruba Fire Department is just your thing this
weekend. At 6am you can start with a 5 kilometer (3.1
miles) course or a 10 kilometer (6.2 miles) course, either
walking or running.

The ‘Run for your Hero’ races start from the actual Fire
Department location in Tanki Flip.
You can also go to support the sportive participants. For

The Aruba Fire Department protects our island of 19 miles
long by 6 miles at its widest.
It is comprised of three firehouses. Headquarters is locat-
ed in Tanki Flip, the second in San Nicolas and the third is
located at the airport.
The department runs with 7 engines, 1 truck, 2 tankers, 2
rescue units and one ambulance.
Members are made up of professional firefighters as well
as a compliment of volunteers.q
