Community Mental Health Services
Mobile Crisis Teams
VNSNY Mobile Crisis Teams (MCT) provide rapid assessment,
short-term, in-home mental health services and linkages
with community services for adults and children with
severe mental illness or children experiencing, or at risk
of experiencing, a psychiatric or psychosocial crisis.
VNSNY also maintains a Children’s Mobile Crisis Team (CMCT),
providing 24/7 rapid crisis care for children and teens (ages
0 to 17) and their families who need crisis assessment, crisis
stabilization, prevention planning and caregiver support.
The program includes short term crisis response and
management services to help link families to community
services as an alternative to a ER visit or hospitalization.
