• In British English you use the 24-hour clock [16.45 =sixteen forty five] mainly to
talk about train and flight times. The 24-hour clock is rarely used in American
English.
We don't usually use the 24- hour clock [16.45 =sixteen forty five] in everyday
language. For example, we do not say The meeting will start at fifteen hundred
hours but we do say The meeting will start at three pm I at three o'clock.
