Scenario 3
You are an admission nurse at a health clinic where a 27-year-old male patient with a complaint
of swollen legs and feet, and also a bloated stomach comes for a doctor’s appointment. He always
feels exhausted on a regular basis even when he doesn’t have any heavy activities. He also feels his heart
racing frequently.
After the examination, the doctor diagnosed her with cardiomyopathy. Inform him of some medication he
should take and or some non-pharmacological treatment that could ease his symptoms (if any).
Scenario 4
You are an admission nurse at a health clinic and are receiving a 40-year-old female patient with
a complaint of stiff hips and spine which caused her range of motion to decrease significantly.
Some redness previously appeared around her hips but she thought it might be caused by her weight gain.
After the examination, the doctor diagnosed her with Arthritis. Inform her of some medication she should
take and or some non-pharmacological treatment that could ease her symptoms (if any).
Scenario 5
You are an admission nurse at a health clinic where a 27-year-old male patient comes with a
complaint of frequent numbness in his fingers. The numbness started weeks ago as a mild tingling
sensation, but in the last three days, it’s getting more intense and felt like an electric shock. He tried an
over-the-counter pain relief patch but the tingling remains.
After the examination, the doctor diagnosed him with an indication of Carpal tunnel syndrome. Inform him
of some medication he should take and or some non-pharmacological treatment that could ease his
symptoms (if any).
