Vocabulary: Specific terms in speech/ presentation draft
Terms Definition
Final remark : help the audience remember the main points of your
address and the reason you gave it. It's a summary of your
most essential points.
Conclusion : brief summary of your speech, to leave the audience with a
clear takeaway, and to signal the end of your speech.
Signpost : short statements that tell the audience where the speaker is
in the speech.
Hook : the part of your presentation that compels an audience to
sit up and pay attention.
Body of speech : The center part of the speech that discusses the main
ideas and key concepts of the speech
Outline of presentation : a synopsis of a talk or pitch. This summarizes what someone
plans to share with their audience members.
Transition signal : a phrase or sentence that indicates that a speaker is moving
from one main point to another main point in a speech.

Firstly, patients with heart failure must change their diet and lifestyle. Heart failure is
related to the eating habits of individuals. For patients who acquire the infection
because of poor eating habits, the best technique of treatment is by educating them
on how to become more responsible with their diet. They should avoid taking in food
that has a high-fat content and consume what is needed for them to promote their
well-being. Obesity leads to the emergence of many diseases including heart illness.
The next one is about the lifestyle of the patient. It is suggested for patients with heart
failure to avoid consuming alcohol and stop smoking. They should also do regular
exercises to maintain their health.
