In qualitative study, there are several techniques which can be used by

the researcher to collect the data, they are observation, field notes,

interview, questionnaire, and examining records (Gay, Mills & Airasian,
2006). In this research, firstly, the researcher observed the participants

directly in the classroom when the students were performing their

speaking in speaking activities. Secondly, in certain, the researcher used
field notes to support her direct observation in order to capture all

phenomenon happened when the speaking activities took place. Lastly,

the researcher also interviewed the participants related to the
psychological aspects, which became the barriers for them in performing

their speaking. Specifically, the data was collected in following steps …
