c. Write down proper delivery of oxygenation for each scenario.

                 No. Scenario Delivery Needed
                 1. Ms. Tika, a 55-year-old post-surgical patient, has been slightly
hypoxic, with an oxygen saturation level around 88-90%. She’s
stable but needs moderate oxygen support to improve her oxygen
levels. Ms. Lopez’s oxygenation needs are still relatively low, so this
option provides her with a moderate FiO₂, approximately 40-60%,
that should correct her oxygen levels effectively.

                 2. Mr. Mulyo, a 70-year-old patient with mild COPD, presents with
slight shortness of breath and an oxygen saturation level of 91%.
He’s experiencing only mild hypoxemia and is stable overall. He
doesn’t require a high concentration of oxygen but needs a little
support. The patient needs to have an FiO₂ of 24-40% at a flow rate
                      of 1-6 L/min.

                 3. Mr. Joko, a 65-year-old patient with moderate COPD, is admitted
with worsening shortness of breath, needing an FiO₂ of 24-50%. His
oxygen saturation has dropped to 85%, and he needs a precise
oxygen concentration to prevent CO₂ retention, which can be
                      dangerous for COPD patients.

                 4. Mrs. Carla, a 45-year-old patient, arrives at the emergency
department with severe shortness of breath, confusion, and
cyanosis (bluish skin), indicating severe hypoxemia with an oxygen
saturation of 75%. She needs immediate high-concentration oxygen
FiO₂ of 60-90% at a flow rate of 10-15 L/min.

Language Focus: Explaining Prediction, Goal, & Warning

When explaining the prediction, goal, and warning, nurse can use conditional sentence type 1.
                 No. Functions Examples
                 1. Predict actions, situations, “If the patient's oxygen levels drop, the nurse will administer
                      and events supplemental oxygen immediately.”

                 2. Indicate a goal, suggestion, “If the patient follows the nurse's breathing exercises, it will
or request improve their oxygen saturation levels.”

                 3. Indicate a warning or threat “If the oxygen mask is removed without permission, it will put
the patient’s health at serious risk.”
