workforce will change. This Plan envisions a
modernized IRS that is focused on the customer
experience and prefers digital to manual
processes and prioritizes compliance efforts that
focus on complex tax issues. Looking at
transformations of a similar scope, we know that
the work needs of the future will look different from
those of today (e.g., analytical and technical skills).
This plan provides our employees and
stakeholders with the information they need to
understand where we are going and how we
intend to get there.
