Some basic knots

These basic knots are simple to tie and easy to undo.

               Overhand knot

To prevent the end of a rope from unraveling, it’s easiest to make an
overhand knot. It is also used to make a stopper in a line.

Follow the illustration. Make a loop and poke the rope end through the eye.
Now you’ve made the simplest and perhaps most common of all knots.
