Set. A knot is called set when it is fully tightened.
Cordage
Cordage is all rope material (lines) used for boats, parachute cords, package
wrapping, etc. It is made of fibers that may be natural or synthetic.
Laid cordage consists of smaller pieces called strands that are twisted
around each other. Depending on which direction they are twisted around
each other, they are called either Z-twist or S-twist. Z-twist, or right-laid,
cordage is the most common.
Four-strand cordage has a middle section called the core.
