Bight, round turn, and loop are three basic elements that are a part of all
knot tying.
Bight. A bight is created when you bend the line to create a U shape.
Loop. If you continue to bend the line so that it crosses itself you get a loop.
The “hole” in the middle is called the eye.
Round turn. If the loop is placed around an object, you get a round turn.
