trust after repeated reassurances that I would do my best to help them and after they felt relieved from

their sufferings. I had to work doubly hard to prove that I could do the job and I also focused on the posi-
tive experiences I learned from the Consultants and Colleagues who helped me not only to become a
good Psychiatrist but also as a better person.

I have to give credits to the Consultants, Colleagues, Treatment Team Members and other staff with
whom I worked for their encouragement, understanding and unending support during my trainings. I
emphasized to the Treatment Team Members that everyone was important, and their assessments/

observations were critically needed for successful treatment plans of every patient. My appeal was more
effective when done with respect, humility, and sincerity.

About one-third of the positions on all APA's

councils and committees are open for appoint-
ment by the President-Elect each year. While
members who currently serve on a Component
may be eligible for reappointment at the end of

their term, any potential reappointment is at the
President-elect's discretion. All appointments
will begin effective May 25, 2023.

The deadline to submit nominations is August
15, 2022. For questions, please reach out to
