a much greater interest in Africa.

            A potential for conflict ?
As seen in recent ‘sports-washing’ initiatives, rich Moslem states have the capacity to

divert very large sums for strategic purposes. Africa can represent an ‘investment
opportunity’. As rich Arab states expand their efforts to diversify their economies, it’s

possible to see why and how their self-interest in Africa expands far beyond the current

            level.
The Moslem religion is the biggest one in Africa. There is already a ‘conflict of

interest’ between China and Indonesia (the world’s most populous Moslem state) in terms of their

individual territorial rights over the seas that separate them. China is already seen as a
persecutor of Moslems in the form of its Uyghur people. Africa.

It may be a long time coming, but the potential is there.
