Cory Schilling, Aon
Cory is a Business Leader in Aon Re’s Atlanta office and heads Aon Re’s U.S. MGA
and Program Solutions team. For 28 years he has worked within the Reinsurance
unit which is the preeminent advocate for global risk bearing entities in developing
strategic solutions for managing volatility, authoring assessment mitigation
strategies and constructing accretive capital management platforms through Aon’s
industry leading consulting, analytics and data platforms.
In his position, he gets the opportunity to bring the best of Aon’s experienced people,
solutions, tools and analytics to help the clients succeed and meet their objectives.
Cory graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota with B.A. degrees
in Economics and Management. He holds an ARe designation as well as FINRA
Registrations of Series 7, 63, 79.
Ryan Armijo, Amwins
Ryan Armijo currently serves as the President of Amwins' Underwriting Division,
supporting 20 operating companies. In his role he is responsible for overseeing the
profitable growth of Amwins' underwriting programs, enhancing underwriting
performance, growing underwriting premium and driving value for clients.
Previously, he served as chief operating officer of Amwins Underwriting, building
technology platforms for the division's programs, creating new underwriting
capacity and driving operational efficiencies across the division. Prior to joining the
Underwriting Division, Ryan was Vice President at Amwins Access, where he built
out proprietary products, led underwriting data initiatives and managed strategic
carrier relationships.
Ryan specializes in Small Commercial Product Build, P&C Underwriting and Technology/Insurtech. Previously,
he served as vice president of business development for Hamilton Insurance. Ryan received his MBA from the
NYU Stern School of Business and his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame.
Jim Blinn, Zywave
Jim Blinn is Vice President of Client Solutions at Zywave. In this role, Jim helps
drive success with both new and existing clients. He was previously responsible
for the global teams that develop and grow Advisen’s proprietary databases.
Jim joined Advisen as a Principal in 2002. Advisen was acquired by Zywave in
2020. He previously served as a Managing Partner at Ernst & Young and worked
at Reliance National in the Risk Management Services Division. Jim began his
insurance career in 1980 as a Principal at Tillinghast where he worked for 11 years.
Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science from Yale University, and he received his MBA from the Wharton School
at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of
the Spencer Educational Foundation. Jim co-authored the ARM 56 textbook, and he is a past Chairman of the
Self-Insurance Institute of America.
