 This is usually a very critical milestone and what happens after someone comes to this conclusion is:
They ask their partner for more and they work with their partner to restore and fortify their partnership.
or,
They look for what is missing elsewhere.
If we return to the relationship tasks of maintenance and managing disappointment this feeling of imbalance must be expressed and addressed in order to be repaired. To use other ideas I have offered in this program, the relationship is in a “push” state or “holding” in a place of being disconnected or pushed away. The task of repairing a relationship in this state involves the couple deciding to change the direction of the relationship and “pull toward” one another and dedicate an intention to being open to restoring the relationship to a state of re-connection and balance.
