PFOA Exposure
Exposure to PFOA in drinking water is primarily from
ingestion (drinking or cooking). According to the New Jersey
Department of Health PFAS factsheet, exposure to PFOA
through other household uses of water like those listed
below is not significant.
-Showering -Washing Dishes
-Bathing -Washing Laundry
-Rinsing Fruit and Vegetables
Water delivered to customers from the groundwater source
mixes in the distribution system at the interface of surface
treated water so not all customers will see the highest levels and
no customer will see over the highest result level.
