The height in the traffic circuit is normally 1000 feet AGL on the downwind leg.

At base you go from approx. 800 feet AGL down to 600 feet.

Finale is flown from 600 feet AGL. (read in VFG about local rules)

7.2.3.2 Approach procedures AFIS, Radio and TWR sites

It is important to know the difference between the different places so you

know what to do when you arrive.

- AFIS sites and Radio sites

Here the pilot is the active one and tells what he is doing based on the

information he receives.

- TWR site

Here the air traffic controller is the active one and gives the pilot

instructions on what to do.
