                2.9    Decision-making process


                Making a decision is a complicated process involving many centers of the brain.

                In the diagram below, you can see:


            -  How the senses participate in the process

            -  How the brain utilizes stored knowledge before making a decision and taking

                action.




                Note,  especially,  that  before  taking  an  action  (which  is  not  instinctive),  a

                decision must be made.





                The decision-making channel can only make one decision at a time!


































                Often, you must first decide which decision to make first!!




                This is where many people struggle, and action is not taken in time.

                Good planning reduces the number of decisions during the flight, as alternative

                approaches have already been decided upon if something necessitates them.
