To find each individual moment do this (point 3. Pilot and front seat pass. is

shown here):

Find the weight on the left

horizontal scale (here 375 lbs).

Go horizontally to the right

graph (here PILOT & FRONT

PASSENGER).

Go vertically down to the

bottom scale, where the value

for the moment is found.

The value of moment

(which in this case is

14) is entered into our

weight and balance
chart.

In the same way, the
other moments are

found and entered.

All in all, we get a total weight of 2305 LBS.

In the aircraft manual, Take Off Weight is stated at a maximum of 2300 LBS, so

our weight is 5 LBS too high.

But remember that we use 1.1 US/Gall. for taxi, corresponding to 6.6 LBS.

So we are below the 2300 lbs at takeoff.

The small numbers under the columns indicate the weight and moment without

fuel.
