about it. What you should take to the heart is this truth,
God is always waiting. If you do not take the initia-tive in
searching out the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit will never seek
you out. The problem is not that the Holy Spirit neglecting
your cry. It is you who continue to argue that you did cry,
when there was not a single cry.
I would like to share a dream of Pastor Kenneth E. Hagin.
In his dream there were count-less animals that began
crowding around him. There could be seen tigers and dark
apes. All these animals were in a furious rage. They rushed
around Pastor Hagin, as if to kill him. When the pastor
spotted Jesus on the side, he pleaded in a loud cry, “Jesus,
help me … please drive them out.’ But Jesus remained still
and did not take a single action. As the Pastor was approach-
ing death by being captured by the animals, he declared with
a loud shout as a last resort, “In the name of Jesus Christ,
Be Gone!” And all the animals that rushed in, began to run
away. When all the animals were gone, he asked Jesus “Why
did you not rescue me?” and Jesus replied, “If you do not do
anything, then I don’t do anything’.
Likewise, if we do not approach the Holy Spirit first, he
does not draw near to us. Do not complain and say “What
kind of God is this?” He himself has determined this rule.
