shaped into an image of apricot flowers. This represents
unchanging faith and a devout belief in redemption. Pure
gold does not change in nature. Likewise, apricot flowers are
the earliest blooms after the winter’s passing.
Also, the golden lamp stand branches out into seven
lamps. Seven is the number of per-fection and victory. With
a careful observation, the lamp stand can be seen as having
3 lamps on each side, with one lamp standing taller in the
middle. Without the middle stand, it numbers only 6. Six
is the number of humans and of the devil. The imperfect
number becomes perfect through Jesus. The Church needs
Jesus. Families need Jesus. An individual needs Jesus. That
is how perfection is made.
“Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can
bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can
you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you
are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will
bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John
15:4-5)
Lastly, an altar of incense is placed inside the Holy Place.
