Rainbow
Kaleidoscopes of colour
Drip as ribbons from the sky
Though rain is barely over
Still the ground begins to dry
The angry clouds depart now
Leaving sunshine in their wake
Birds leave their sheltered hollows
As their homeward flights they take
She rides the troubled skies on ribboned wings
To offer up the hope of brighter things
She leaves like she was never there at all
A whisper in a moment magical
Soft breeze begins to bristle
Stirring droplets from their nests
Forced to tumble into puddles
Where they wither as they rest
The sunshine beats relentless
Drawing moisture through the air
And silently the rainbow fades
Was it ever really there
She rides the troubled skies on ribboned wings
To offer up the hope of brighter things
She leaves like she was never there at all
A whisper in a moment magical
Rainbow, smiling up high
Rainbow…..
Rainbow, lighting the sky
Rainbow…..
She rides the troubled skies on ribboned wings
To offer up the hope of brighter things
She leaves like she was never there at all
A whisper in a moment magical
